Game turn 1 will start promptly at the listed start time. Players may set up and deploy their units for games before the listed start time. WATCH THE TIME at 15 minutes remaining warning will be given to plan for the final game turn, the team going second should be given the final game turn. At 5 minutes remaining if the second team is not currently taking their final turn they will be allowed to start their turn (warning will be given at 5 min remaining)



SPEED PAINTING & HOBBY WORKSHOP  - (1 hour) 1030 – 1130
The space marine model will be the base for the speed painting contest.  Models may be built and primed (black and/or white only) prior to arrival at the event – 2 level primer with black base and top layer for shadow is allowed.  No spray painting or airbrushing is allowed at the event.

Models may be partially assembled for painting but need to be fully glued and finished by the end of the hour. 
*Basing will not be required.


Models will be judged by :

  • 10 points - Completeness  
  • 10 points - Technical quality (neatness, highlighting, etc…)                          
  •   5 points - Creativity  


The winner of the contest will be awarded 500 points toward the tournament (equal to winning an additional ½ game)
All other participants will receive 3 bonus points toward their final scores (equal to all the bonus points from one game)


OTHER REALMS PAINT DAY - 12 noon - 6pm (come down at 10:30am to watch the speed painting!)


750pt TOURNAMENT

  • 30k and 40k armies are allowed for all entrants – 30k armies need to have their rules and list available for their opponents.
  • All armies are required to be single source CAD or maximum 2 formations. If formations are used your list must include at least 1 HQ and 2 Troop units for the event.


Scenarios 
Scenario 1: Dawn of War Deployment

  1. Step 1. Adjust and define terrain with your opponent.
  2. Step 2. Roll for Psychic Powers/Gifts/etc.
  3. Step 3  Roll for Deployment Zones DAWN OF WAR DEPLOYMENT
  4. Step 4. Each player places 1 objective. Each objective may not be placed within 18″ of another objective or within 6″ of a table edge.  The team that chose deployment zone places the first objective marker.
  5. Step 5. Roll for Warlord trait per usual in the BRB Pg. 124. Do not use the Tactical Traits table.
  6. Step 6. Roll for Night Fighting.
  7. Step 7. Roll for first turn.


Victory conditions: Each victory condition is worth 500 points, 250 points per team if the condition results are tied


  • Primary  -  Dawn of War Mission: Emperor's Will Objectives
  • Secondary  -  Protect the King! :  Mission is achieved if your Warlord is alive and on the board at the end of the game (may be embarked on a transport)
  • Bonus points  - Big Game Hunter, Line breaker, King of the Hill


Scenario 2: Hammer and Anvil Deployment

  1. Step 1. Adjust and define terrain with your opponent. Define where the center of the table is located.
  2. Step 2. Roll for Psychic Powers/Gifts/etc.
  3. Step 3. Roll for deployment zones HAMMER AND ANVIL DEPLOYMENT
  4. Step 4.Place Objectives using normal objective placement rules as modified below.
    • a. Each player places  Objective number 1 in their own deployment zone, number 2 more than 30" from their own deployment table edge and number 3 in their opponent's deployment zone.
    • b. These objectives are also the Scouring Objectives, which are worth 1, 2 and 3 points  respectively.
  5. Step 5. Roll for Warlord trait per usual in the BRB Pg. 124. Do not use the Tactical Traits table.
  6. Step 6. Roll for Night Fighting.
  7. Step 7. Roll for first turn. The player that wins the roll can choose to go first or second. The player going first then deploys first and goes first unless the other player seizes the initiative.


Victory conditions - Each victory condition is worth 500 points, 250 points per team if the condition results are tied


  • Primary - The Scouring Objectives
  • Secondary - Our boys are coming home!: Have more Troop units alive and on the board than your opponent
  • Bonus points - First Strike, Line breaker, Slay the Warlord


Scenario 3: Vangaurd Strike

  1. Step 1. Adjust and define terrain with your opponent.
  2. Step 2. Roll for Psychic Powers/Gifts/etc.
  3. Step 3  Roll for Deployment Zones VANGAURD STRIKE
  4. Step 4. Each player places one objective in their deployment zone and one objective in their opponents deployment zone- these are the Big Guns never tire objectives
  5. Step 5. Roll for Warlord trait per usual in the BRB Pg. 124. Do not use the Tactical Traits table.
  6. Step 6. Roll for Night Fighting.
  7. Step 7. Roll for first turn.


Victory conditions - Each victory condition is worth 500 points, 250 points per team if the condition results are tied

  • Primary - Big Guns Never Tire
  • Secondary - Off With His Head! : Kill your opponents Warlord; if the warlord is not on the table at the end of the game this mission is also achieved.
  • Bonus points - First Blood,  Line Breaker, Table Quarters



Scenario 4: Hammer and Anvil

  1. Step 1. Adjust and define terrain with your opponent.
  2. Step 2. Roll for Psychic Powers/Gifts/etc.
  3. Step 3  Roll for Deployment Zones HAMMER AND ANVIL
  4. Step 4. Roll for Warlord trait per usual in the BRB Pg. 124. Do not use the Tactical Traits table.
  5. Step 5. Roll for Night Fighting.
  6. Step 6. Roll for first turn.


Victory conditions - Each victory condition is worth 500 points, 250 points per team if the condition results are tied


  • Primary - Purge the Alien
  • Secondary - Invasion before all : Have more scoring units in your opponents deployment zone than your opponent has in yours at the end of the game
  • Bonus points - First Strike, Slay the Warlord, Big game Hunter
