The goal of this league is to have fun, encourage more players to play, encourage creative list building and exploration, and provide a friendly outlet for community based discussion around topics which might never arise with a standard format.


An entry fee of $5.00 is for prize support.


Prizes

There will be one main winner who will get a specific prize (TBD), then 10 lesser winners, which will get a pick of their choice from the communal prize pool.


I want to put together a participation prize like an alternate art card (the community likes my idea of a double sided captain nym alternate art) or two specifically for the league, and potentially some token or range ruler sets from distributors online. I have been communicating with laser cutting services trying to get quotes for this but it looks like making them for small scale isn’t feasible. I will be 3d printing and painting a trophy, but it isn't going to be the absolutely nicest thing around, more of a gimmick trophy to show off.

Points for Playing

  • 10 points for a win
  • 5 points for a loss


Achievements  

Achievements stack, and you can earn each achievement once per game that is played in-line with the weekly league format.

  • All Alone: Win a match with only one ship remaining
  • Perfect: Finish a match without losing a ship.
  • Thread the Needle: Finish a match without landing on or having your movement template touch an obstacle.
  • Asteroid Magnet: Finish a match after having landed on or having your movement template touch every obstacle.
  • Kingslayer: Destroy an opponent's most expensive ship.
  • Reaper: End a turn having caused 5+ damage to hull or shield.
  • Mook Slayer: Destroy an opponent’s least expensive ship.
  • Panic: End a turn having received 5+ damage to hull or shield
  • Ace: Roll 2 or more Crits on a single roll.
  • Jedi/Sith: Roll 3 or more Crits on a single roll.
  • Gun Show: Have 6 or more total attack dice results of any result on a single attack. (Roll 6 or more dice, or add in results until you have 6 there)


 

9/21/17 Format - X-Wing Special Escalation Game Format

  • At beginning of game, both players field 60 points of ship(s), however they like from their starting edge.
  • At the beginning of the third turn, both players will field another 35 points of ship(s) however they like, from an edge of their opponent's choosing.
  • At the beginning of the 6th turn, both players will field another 35 points of ship(s) from an edge of their choosing.
  • All other standard list building rules apply normally.
