Sealed Deck Tournament
Top 8 Booster Draft
Get a leg up at your next Grand Prix by competing in Grand Prix Trials (GPT). These tournaments are run by independent stores around the world and award a two-round bye to a Grand Prix (Las Vegas June 2017), giving you a head start on the competition with two free wins to start the tournament.
In a sealed deck tournament, you build a new deck from six unopened booster packs at the start of the event.
The guidelines require that you build a minimum deck size of 40 cards, but you can add as many basic lands (Plains, Islands, Swamps, Mountains, and Forests) as you’d like, even if they weren’t in the booster packs you opened.
Here are some important things to keep in mind:
•Players should remember to bring their own method for tracking life totals, as well as tokens, card sleeves, and counters.
The tournamnent will run in Swiss rounds with the number of rounds determined by player count.
Once the top 8 player are determined, the slate will be wiped clean and the top 8 will duel it out in a booster draft format in the battle for Grand Prix byes and additional prizes.
- 6 Amonkhet Boosters for sealed tournament
- 3 Amonkhet Boosters for those who advance to the top 8 draft tournament
- All participants will receive a previously released promo card
- Additional prize support will be determined based on the size of tournament participation.
