Standard Format Tournament

Get a leg up at your next Grand Prix by competing in Grand Prix Trials (GPT). These tournaments are run by independent stores around the world and award a two-round bye to a Grand Prix (Pittsburgh February 2017), giving you a head start on the competition with two free wins to start the tournament.

Standard format uses the two most recently-released blocks, as well as the current core set. When a new block is launched, the oldest block rotates out of the list. The following card sets are currently permitted in standard format:

  • Battle for Zendikar
  • Oath of the Gatewatch
  • Shadows over Innistrad
  • Eldritch Moon
  • Kaladesh
